AFEMA Projects

Background

The Africa E-Mobility Alliance (AfEMA) connects stakeholders in electric mobility ecosystems across Africa.

AfEMA actively drives awareness, activates markets, and catalyses advocacy efforts to transform the transportation landscape into a zero emission sector.

We envision that by 2030, 30% of all vehicles sold in Africa will be Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEVs). Our work informs and accelerates that transition.

Kenya E-Mobility Battery Initiative

The Kenya E-Mobility Battery Initiative is a research-driven project assessing the end-of-life (EoL) impact of electric vehicle (EV) batteries in Kenya. By analyzing fleet data, battery degradation, and policy landscapes, this initiative provides insights for sustainable battery management.

World Bank: Pioneering E-mobility in Malawi

This World Bank-backed project is developing an integrated e-mobility strategy for Malawi, aligning policy, infrastructure, and renewable energy to accelerate EV adoption
